How to Set Up Chromecast on Mac

If you haven't installed Google's Chrome browser on your Mac, follow these steps to download and install it. If you already have Chrome installed, you can skip this step.

To set up your Chromecast device, enter your WiFi network password and select your network from the list of available options. Then, choose a location for your Chromecast device and tap 'Next.'

On the next screen, you'll be asked if you're in or not. Tap either 'Yes' or 'No' to continue.

If you see a code on your TV screen, tap 'Yes' to move forward. You should now see two codes - one on your TV screen and another on your phone screen. Wait for the Google Home app to locate your Chromecast device and tap 'Yes' to continue.

Select 'Home' and then 'Next.' On the home screen, tap 'Set up 1 device option.'

Once you've downloaded the Google Home app, open it and agree to the terms and conditions by tapping 'Accept.'

To set up your Chromecast device using the Google Home app on your mobile phone or tablet, follow these steps:

First, attach your Chromecast device to your home television. Plug in the HDMI end of the device into an available HDMI port on your TV and the USB end into a USB power adapter.

Next, use your TV's remote control to change the source input to match the HDMI port where you plugged in your Chromecast device.

With these steps complete, you can now use your Chromecast device to project media from your MacBook to your TV. Once the setup process is completed, you won't need your mobile phone or the Google Home app to continue using your Chromecast device.
